What is Action-for-Awareness?
 Unlike typical fundraising organizations, Action-for-Awareness unites people as a call to action to raise money for an important cause thus promoting national awareness around the charity whose cause has been chosen. Action-for-Awareness rallies organizations of all shapes and sizes that in turn rally their own constituencies to participate in an event that is organized and managed centrally.
The Action-for-Awareness events will provide awareness for pediatric cancer and gives the public an opportunity to give back through an athletic competition, a donation of time, and their resources. Through the aggregation of a mass number of people, Action-for-Awareness enables the attraction of larger corporate sponsorships than any single organization would be able to attract on its own. St. Jude will be able to receive the benefit of a high impact fundraiser without expending its own resources.
Action-for-Awareness EventsGreen Carpet Gala This eco-friendly themed 'black-tie affair' will join together public officials, celebrities, honorees and corporate sponsors to help honor and support St. Jude Hospital through a night of dinner, dancing, and donating. The gala will be the kick-off event for the high-impact fundraising weekend for St. Jude.
Rebound4Recovery  Similar to a traditional basketball tournament, Rebound4Recovery is a collaborative fundraising event uniting celebrities, corporations, and government entities in order to leverage the power of collective mobilization for the greater good.
- Winning teams will be awarded (cash, trophy, and website recognition) in three categories: Championship game, Slam Dunk contest, and 3-Point Shoot Out.
- All money raised by the organization’s team goes directly to the proceeds donated to St. Jude Hospital.
